I typically only decorate with subtle colors. But this Christmas I have been ALL about reds. Especially in my kitchen and dining room.

I just love how the bold color really screams “Christmas!”
To get that traditional old time Christmas look, I added subtle touches including this DIY letter garland I made for that vintage feel.
Our Letter Board Wreath is another favorite way of mine to decorate for the holidays without going overboard.
For our table this year I decorated with my vintage candlesticks layered on top of some lovely red pom pom linens from Magic Linen.
And what holiday Kitchen tour would be complete without some yummy cookies! You can get my recipe for these Double Chocolate Andes Cookies HERE.
When putting together a cozy tablescape, you want to include items that will draw your eye.
Layering different textures together is a great way to do this. Here I have the brass candlesticks for a glow, along with a linen table runner, red linen napkins, and a pair of green mugs from Marshalls.
My pomegranate candle holders (tutorial HERE) bring the red color into my hutch.
Can we just talk about how adorable the pom pom trim is on this table runner?! Obsessed!

I have a small collection of mini Santa mugs that I found on places like Etsy and eBay. They totally make this room feel like the North Pole.
Let’s all take a moment to enjoy these gooey cookies…
I mean, I could easily eat all of these in one go.
This farmhouse table is one of my favorite things that Silas has built for me. You can see the building plans HERE.
Let’s not forget baking supplies central! I love having all my every day items hanging up on this pot rack we built (tutorial HERE) How cute do these linen oven mitts look hanging up there?
Brass candle sticks are another thing I collect. I just grab them anytime I see them for sale while out antiquing. I have quite the collection now.
Lastly, I garnished our tree with some copper LED lights, tin bells, and of course letters from my children to Santa.
I think this tree will be a tradition for years to come.
I hope you all enjoyed my little tour of this space all festive and merry!
