It’s been SO LONG since I have shared a glimpse into our laundry room.
Let’s first talk about this door in front of it.
I found this beauty on marketplace. We picked it up from an adorable pink farmhouse here in NC that was built in the 1800’s. Which mean this door is OLD! I carefully stripped it down to the original wood, and it now resides in front of our laundry room. If we ever move, this door is coming with me!
You can see how I stripped all the lead paint off of it HERE.
We have your state of the art, plain, normal appliances. When it comes to laundry, I don’t need anything fancy. Haha!
On our floating shelves, we have some art from House Hathaway.
I placed a few old terra cotta pots on my laundry shelf for a spring feel.
We have a rolling laundry basket crate in this space- we don’t keep dirty laundry in there, but we DO put our clean dry laundry there… until my husband can’t stand how long it’s been there, and folds it… yep. This is my weak spot guys.
We have some brooms, dust pans and brushes on the wall next to the washer.
On the shelf, I placed one of my watercolor paintings in an antique frame.
Here’s another view of the laundry room from the mudroom.
This cute little drain board is another antique find.
I’m so happy with how this space functions (and looks)
Fixer uppers are all about the journey. When you live in the middle of a renovation, projects don’t happen overnight. But you DO get to see how you need things to function, which I think helps the design process.
I hope you enjoyed this view. It’s one of those spaces where the result is worth the journey it took to get here.
