Hey guys! Today is the day I am going to share my silent night master bedroom art & frame DIY tutorial with you all.
Lots of you saw me posting about building this frame on social media. Well, I am finally going to share a few tips & tricks I used to create this baby.
So first, my sweet husband built this for me out of a painted piece of plywood, and some strips of pallet boards he thinned down with the table saw.
Here you can kinda see what they looked like beforehand.
Since we always screw the frame molding together from the back, my husband will grind off any screw tips poking out.
Now that the frame looks pretty, it’s time for the fun part!
First, I free handed a design onto the board with a sharpie.
Then using some watercolor paint (on top of the white latex) I brushed out the lettering.
My favorite part is how the watercolor paint reacts to the latex & gives a chippy looking finish. Kinda like milk paint. Well that’s all for now.
