Hello Friends! I love everything about this month’s printable watercolor artwork. I normally start my paintings off with a mood & let the painting take me where it wants to go from there. This month, I wanted to go for a Scottish highlands feel, but once I started adding tree texture, I realized it could be viewed as both rolling hills, or sloping jungle.Â
I really don’t paint specific locations. Sometimes I might draw inspiration from a photo of landscape… but I like to create my own magical world in the scenes I paint, if that makes sense. Skies are my favorite to paint. Sometimes it might be dark with lots of stars, or sometimes it may be swirly with lots of texture and color. But that’s what I love about nature- it always looks different depending on the sky’s mood!
