Deer Painting…

Lately it feels like I have lost my artistic motivation, and it is so sad, because I live and breathe creativity. It’s forced me to take a step back for the past couple weeks, and I am hoping to get a fresh perspective & become inspired again soon. I’ve even picked up my paint brush and tried painting at no avail. So, in the meanwhile I wanted to share a portion of one of my favorite pieces that I have created- a sweet deer walking in a field. There is something so soothing about this piece, and it really speaks to resting your spirit, which is probably why I am drawn to sharing it today.

This post includes affiliate links, but I only share things that I LOVE & think you will too.

You can actually purchase this print in my shop HERE.Now for my supplies: HERE is the paper I used for my 5×7 pieces, and HERE is what I use for 8×10. The watercolors hues I used can be found in this set HERE.

My favorite paint brush sizes is the 2/0.

Deer are absolutely my favourite animals and this is a beautiful watercolour painting. It’s moody yet soothing in equal measure. Thanks for sharing your process – I’ll be sure to check out your Etsy page.
