Here are the exact supplies I use for my paintings (paint brushes, watercolor paint, watercolor paper, and masking fluid)
PRODUCTS USED:
Hey! We are in the middle of our house being on the market to sell, but I wanted to take a quick break from the craziness, and do a freebie coloring sheet for you all!
You can see the video tutorial of me painting this piece in yesterday’s post HERE.
The first step for this piece is to paint in the moon with some masking fluid. I have a full list of the products I use for my paintings HERE.
Once that’s dry, create a wet rainbow of colors in the sky. We are going for the milky way look here.
Dry the sky with a hair blow dryer, and the paint in the mountain’s profile. If the sky is still wet, then there won’t be a defined line.
Next, add some depth by doing dark colors down the mountain and in the field. I like to paint over elements like the trees and road, that way they will blend better when I add the detail work.
Add another gorgeous layer of sky.
Then add more layers of paint to the mountain and the field. Paint in those trees while you are at it.
Next, after making sure the sky is dry, erase the masking fluid on the moon & paint it in with a little yellow.
Add stars and you have the prettiest nightscape! I like to be inconsistent with my star clusters. You will notice above that they are closet together in the middle of the milky way.
I am so in love with this piece. I could paint it over and over again.
