Today we are talking about beds. Gorgeous, vintage, industrial, metal farmhouse style beds. It’s funny how things go in and out of style, but in the Hathaway household, metal beds are “in” and will always be a classic piece welcome in our home. In fact, our house has three bedrooms, and since our kids are still so little, we decided that for now they will share a room. So with that said, we decided to designate the third bedroom as a guest bedroom. Since I have a new guest room to decorate, I have been looking high and low for the perfect bed. So I thought Metal Bed Frames would be an appropriate post in the latest #HannahsFarmhouseFavs series.
This post includes affiliate links, but I only share things that I LOVE & think you will too.
Metal headboards are one of the top items that I search for every time I hop onto my craigslist (amongst clawfoot tubs, sinks, lockers, and fireplaces to name a few. Haha!) But with three little ones, lead paint is always in the back of my mind with vintage items. So while I am always a sucker for vintage, for peace of mind, sometimes it is safer to purchase something new that “looks” old. With that said, I actually just purchased bed #5 for our guest room. I can’t wait to use it! It’s so pretty. I’m thinking of maybe adding some chippy milk paint character to it, or perhaps even some liming wax to give it a more aged look. But right now I have my hands full of normal DIY projects just making this house livable. Well, that’s it for now. Stay tuned for more fun farmhouse themed decor finds soon!
