If you follow me on Facebook and Instagram you know that I was torn between making a Narwhal Whale and a Loch Ness Monster for my next sewing project.
I was asked by BuzzFeed to come up with a felt stuffed animal pattern and tutorial for them… ummm YES!
So by popular vote, the winner is *drum roll*
NESSIE!
I’ve been having a blast making her. I’m still working on the body now but the pattern is fully developed, and I already have her pretty much stuffed. I couldn’t resist choosing a color of felt that matched June’s playroom.
Yes, there is a half naked baby in the above photo… And no, I do not let my toddler run around naked almost every day (did I pass the lie detector?)
June LOVES her Loch Ness Monster- she thinks its a giant duck and wants to ride on it’s back… but sewing + a baby using your project as a rocking horse don’t mix well- so I actually had to sneak this monster into a different room to protect it from my little monster!
I can’t wait for her to play with it when it’s done!
I still want to do the narwhal at some point- they are one of my favorite animals (probably because they are so unicorn like, haha!)

Ok, I really cannot wait to see the narwhal. That is my favorite animal and I'd love to make one for my daughter! 😀
