It’s been forever since I’ve shared a post with updates on the kid’s Narnia Inspired bedroom makeover. Now that most of the important renovations have been done to our fixer upper, we were able to take a quick break and work on this space for once.
Disclaimer: This post is a partnership with Beddy’s. I received products for this project. All opinions are my own, and I only share things I love & think you will too.
This space just fuels my imagination & creativity. I actually have about 20 more amazing things I want to add to this room. But I am taking it one step at a time.
My favorite thing that we have added to this space lately are these Beddy’s comforters.Â
This bedding isn’t just pretty, it has a super functional secret.
Prepare for your mind to be blown.
The top blanket zips and unzips. Which means that my four year old can make his bed every morning in 5 seconds flat. What?!
They are designed like a fitted sheet. Except it’s a comforter.
Each Beddy’s has two zippers that meet in the middle at the end. That way you can zip one, or both sides, AND you can remove the top blanket from the fitted portion of the bedding.
Need to wash it? No problem. Just take the whole thing off of the mattress and throw it in the wash.
One of my favorite aspects of this bedding is that it is two toned, with a different fabric on the top and bottom portions.
My kids are obsessed with the minky fabric that is attatched underneath the top blanket.
This set up is a dream come true for this mama! It makes the job of keeping their bunkbeds made so simple. And it is so easy that our kiddos do it themselves.
And it goes so well next to our Narnia Reading Nook. Win-Win.
We went with the “Sketched” Beddy’s style. I didn’t know if I would like the minky fabric inside, but as soon as I took them out of the bag I knew the kids were going to love it! It’s super soft and you can tell the fabric is super high quality.
There are still a so many more elements I want to add to this space, but we are taking it one project at a time.
I’m pretty sure this room will be the most magical space ever by the time I am done with it.
I am so glad to be able to check off the kid’s bedding now. Phew! One less thing to think of.
A space like this is really all about the details.
Here’s a little peek into the reading nook. It’s coming along slowly, but surely.
Oh, did I mention that Silas built this bunkbed for the kids? This thing is huge.
It’s so high up that I was really nervous at first. But the kids got the hang of it right away.
And now I don’t have to climb up on to the top bunk to make the bed & tuck in all the blankets. My daughter does it all by herself (zip & done!) But I also love that I can easily do it while standing beside the top bunk if needed. I’m way more obsessed with this bedding than I expected to be.
I hope you enjoyed this glimpse into our kid’s room. I am SO excited that it has come this far. You can see some more details inside the Narnia Wardrobe Reading Nook HERE (as well as a before photo of this space)
