Have you noticed my obsession with chalkboard right now? I devoted a WHOLE BOARD on pinterest to it. Since I am in a temporary living situation while my husband finishes up his last 2 months of MOS Training for his Job in the Marines, I can’t paint any walls chalkboard or do anything crazy (yet!)
So to feed my obsession (for now) I made an adorable printable banner for Christmas/Winter!
The Download Link is at the very bottom of the post. It includes a “Let it Snow” document that you can just download and press print. Or if you have another saying in mind, I also included the WHOLE alphabet so you can be creative! Because I love sharing graphics with ya’ll too, I also included some banners with lovely little dingbats on them.
To make your own Chalkboard Banner, first you need to download, print and cut out your banner. I recommend using card stock paper. We glued ours onto some red card stock to make it more colorful.
Next, since the chalk powder look is a hard texture to do justice when printing something, you can bring it out more by “ageing” and lightly rubbing some white chalk on the paper. This part is SO fun!
Then you need to add the string to your banner. I glued snippets of paper on the back.
Now you can hang it up! I was so excited because it looked like a snow globe the day I went out to photograph this banner! I was really “Walking in a Winter Wonderland!”
Simple and sweet & so festive for winter!
However, I must say I miss Florida weather! I’ve been spoiled by the sun I guess! The romanticism of living in a cold, windy place wears off quickly in real life… especially when you are struggling to get your wet baby (potty training gone wrong!) and groceries into your car in freezing weather but have to patiently wait for the handicapped lady next to you to leave so you can get into your car, only to realize that after trying to turn the key, and looking into the car that “THIS” car looks cleaner than “YOUR” car, and that “YOUR” car is two parking spots down… That was my embarrassing moment of the week, and definitely a real life factor that makes warm weather so attractive to me.
So enjoy the snow if you have any, and to all Merry Christmas! My Husband comes home in two days!!!!! So EXCITED!
…now for the download link… just incase you may want it!

This is awesome! Love it! And enjoy the snow, we're in Florida and it's supposed to be in the 80's this weekend – not very Christmas-y.
I'm trying to enjoy it right now- but as soon as the tree is out the door I'm gonna have a bad case of warm weather envy!
Ahh, love the beautiful red/black/white. 🙂 And YOU look beautiful, too, Hannah!
