I am super excited to share my farmhouse kitchen fall tour with you all! It’s just WAY too fun decorating for the autumn season.
We are actually fully moved out of our home because it sold so quickly, but I didn’t let that stop me from decorating it while we were still living there.
I wanted to keep everything neutral and bright & airy.
So we just added subtle touches of fall throughout the space.
One of my favorite things we did was adding this living pumpkin display on our work table in the kitchen. I used real succulents & berries to make the arrangement pop.
And I switched up my seasonal chalkboard artwork.
To really bring the fall vibes into this space, I used my chalk paint & dark wax pumpkins to dress up the room. You can see the tutorial for my painting and distressing process on these pumpkins here.
I also brought in some branches from outside for a pop of nature.
Here in the south it takes a while for leaves to change, so I used green leaves until the pretty fall colors could replace them.
Aren’t those real nature touches so pretty?
I really miss seeing this space everyday.
But I’m hoping for a pretty farmhouse to decorate next year. That will make all this worth it.
This chalkboard wall has to be one of my favorite things about our old house. It’s not as stark as a blackboard, but it still has a rustic, industrial flair that looks especially good up against subway tile.
You can see my DIY post about this wall here and you can actually see me hand lettering one of my past chalkboard creations on this wall here.
All the fall decorations have caused me to bake all things pumpkin pie & pumpkin bread.
For this little sign, I just used a reclaimed cabinet drawer face & painted “thankful” on it.
It’s actually really hard writing this post now that I don’t have this kitchen anymore, and looking back at all the pictures of it make me kinda sad.
But I knew this was the plan ever since we bought our house almost 3 years ago.
We knew from the start that we would only be here a few years. So we did a facelift on the whole house, and are now moving onto the next step for our family.
We have an exciting move ahead of us in the next couple months- I can’t wait to tell you guys more about it! But for now I’m holding back on the details, as so much of it is still up in the air.
Okay, so remember how I said I like subtle holiday touches? This print I made of a simple pumpkin bread recipe is a perfect example. I think I’ll put this one up as a free simple printable soon!
But back to real life for a moment… I haven’t given you all a personal life update recently: As I mentioned above, we just sold our house, and are currently living in a temporary apartment. On top of all of that I am expecting baby number 3 any day now, and we have a big move ahead of us before the year is done.
I’m so thankful for everything that is happening in my life right now… even though it’s all super crazy.
I mean, my life is essentially turned upside down at the moment. But I feel like we have been gearing up for this season all year, and I can’t wait for it all to be done. We are almost at the finish line!
Well, that’s it for now. Thanks for following along.
I love the simple look and would like to print the rusty pumpkin truck .
Thank you
