It’s that time of year… I know some of you are holding on hard to summer, but I’m over here waving goodbye while falling head over heels into fall! Get ready for pumpkin everything!!! Today I have the sweetest fall farmhouse neutral fall decor for you all. You all know how much I love my white pumpkins. Well, I put them to good use today and threw together a Thanksgiving style tablescape. I wanted to create a forest themed fall/autumn woodland animal tea party for my kids in our dining room. They’ve been so sweet and helpful during all the stress of moving and home renovations, so I’ve been trying to be intentional about giving them fun memories to look back on too- and hopefully all the chaos will fade into a blurred memory. Haha!
This post includes affiliate links, but I only share things that I LOVE & think you will too.
It all started because I remembered the DIY plush stuffed animal deer I made June (HERE) a while back. I just knew it would be the perfect fall accessory for this tea party. And just like that, it became the theme of this whole space.
I tried adding cute little details like name cards for the kids and their stuffed animals.
I put this all together after the little ones had gone to bed, and told June that when she woke up there was going to be a surprise for her.
This child of mine is always “throwing a party” for something… like every single day. It’s always a favorite toy’s birthday, a “picnic day,” or something random like “farm day”, etc. She cracks me up.
I think she was glad that I finally took on the responsibility of putting one together for once.
She came downstairs this morning like it was Christmas or something.
I think I’ll have to do this more often. It was a blast.
Jason woke up a little later, but was just as into it. Especially the treats. Haha! #justlikemommy
For the past couple years I have hand-sewn my kids a special stuffed animal each for Christmas. So Mr. Bear, Miss Fox, Mr. Raccoon, and Miss Unicorn are all members of the family now, basically.
And I had to use my Rae Dunn for the tea party… Of course! I mean, what says fall farmhouse tea party more than creamy white pottery?
The kids did cheers a couple times… and yes I did cringe… but nothing cracked… or chipped… Phew. Haha!
Each table setting was simply a book with a leaf name card & a mug. That’s how I roll.
I used some old antique pillars to encase my pumpkins. I am not going to lie. I am kind of obsessed with them on the table.
This is what I consider a mom hack- cutting up what my kids call “little cakes” for the dessert (aka Little Debbie Cakes- I’m so fancy! lol!)
I could have cooked something from scratch and I’m pretty sure these would have still won their favor instead… haha!
Yep- those didn’t last for too long.
I am probably going to switch out my DIY plush stuffed animal deer for something else more, ahem, “boring” soon. But it’s fun to do something different and exciting for the kiddos for once.
I’m pretty sure we all had a bast. This one is one for the photo books.

Thank you so much! I think so too.
Even though this blog is from 2018 it still gave me fall decor ideas to use here in 2020! Thank you for sharing your family and home 🙂
Awww! You made my day.
