So, I saw this amazing idea on Pinterest to color your ice cubes using kool aid. I try to stay away from extra sugar if I can, so instead, I just used straight water and some food coloring drops.
Here’s how I do it:
Add several drops of food coloring to your water. The richer the color, the better it will turn out frozen.
Pour it into an ice cube tray.
Try out several colors!
I think they are so pretty in the trays!
You could even flavor the water with lemon if you want!
Cool, huh? Your water will turn different colors as they melt!

I just have a quick question, does the food coloring alter the flavor of the water?. I want to use the ice cubes for a party but I want to make sure that if I put them in let's say a Margarita the taste of the drink wont change, Anyway, thanks for the idea! It looks really cool 🙂
