Cloud And Mountain Pillows

Cloud And Mountain Pillows

Hey guys! Sometimes being a mom means you stay up until 4 am to get work done… that’s the truth! Lol. I am not feeling too good as a result. But that doesn’t stop me from doing the things I love. And cute nursery pillows are one of those things!

Cloud And Mountain Pillows

I mean, can it get any cuter than clouds + pillows? I think not. Okay, throw a shirtless baby, and a mountain peak pillow in there and maybe it gets cuter. Yep. It definitely wins the adorableness contest.

I wanted Jason’s room to have lots of cute baby pillows in his nursery, so I made him like a billion pillows, including these white & grey storm clouds. They are one of the cutest parts of the room, and they cost me zero $ to make. Yep. That’s how I roll. Because I’m cheap… really cheap. Lol.

To make my version of a cloud pillow you will need an old sheet (you know, the ones with stains on them that you just swapped out for crisp white ones?) And an old pillow (because we all know they need to be replaced eventually!)

This is not only a good excuse to upgrade from that lumpy pillow, but also a great way to recycle it’s fluff!

Step 1: Cut out desired cloud shape onto fabric. There really isn’t a need for a pattern- just have fun with those scissors & cut away! Tip: Cut your shapes “jumbo” size because this isn’t a “flat” pillow.

Step 2: With the fronts of the fabric facing each other, sew the seams up, leaving a small hole for stuffing. Tip: Use an old pillowcase, sheet, or suede material for your fabric. I did use some flannel for a few of mine, but like the softer materials way better.

Step 3: Turn right side out.

Step 4: Stuff the inside of the pillow & sew up the hole. Tip: Instead of buying polyfill from the store, use fluff from an old pillow. Also, add “3D” like bunches of poly fill to the sides for a realistic cloud pillow.

And there you have it! Expensive looking designer pillows for zero dollars!

Now you can roll around in them & have pillow fights!

Or if you are like Jason…

Chewing and drooling on them will suffice.

Do you guys like my ascetic bench/table? It’s purpose in life is to display my cute DIY pillows…. and pretty sure it would topple over if you sat on it too long… but hey, it works!  Also, you can find that cute pallet chest DIY HERE.

Now excuse me while I go grab my personal pillow, hug my gorgeous DIY drop cloth headboard, and try to get some sleep before Jason wakes me up to feed him… again.
