Hello friends. This year, I really felt the need to keep things simple for the holidays, but I wanted to add some “Old Fashioned” Christmas elements to our home. This is the result. First off, let’s talk about this tree, This is the Frosted Aspen Fir from Balsam Hill. This is the 6.5 one. I added gold tinsel from Hobby Lobby, and it is adored with “Letters to Santa” that the kids write each year. It’s my favorite tradition, and I hope to continue it even when my children have children.
My vintage Santa mug collection made their way to our eclectic hutch.
Even the Elf on the Shelf has made an appearance.
I like doing simple, cozy touches of decor that say “Christmas” without screaming “Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer.” So classy, and sometimes subtle looks. Letter Boards are one of my favorite ways to create this look.

I feel like I have accumulated enough Christmas decor for a lifetime, but I DID I find a few treasures at Hobby Lobby this season. Namely these rusty orange bottle brush trees, and some cute snow globe lights for our coffee area.
I just adore how this cozy look turned out. I’ll most likely share a few more views before Christmas day, but any additional looks will probably be even simpler than this.
