Hello friends. Yesterday was one of those days where I felt a little down, but this pretty painting certainly lifts my spirit. Funny story- so I was taking a video of the painting process to share with you all, but then my camera ran out of space before I was done. So you all will just have to be content with the artwork in it’s completed form.

This mood behind this piece is something I haven’t really tired with flowers until now. It’s a night time wildflower field with lightning bugs. I really like the general feel of it, and you will probably see more paintings from me in this style.

There are probably a few things I would do differently the second time around, but painting is a learning process, and I love experimenting! What do you think? And what would you like for next month’s calendar? Let me know in the comments below!
