Happy Easter! Or is it April Fools? I’m confused. Haha! Happy both! Today is such a special day, and the printables I have for you are certainly no joke! With all that said, I am so thankful for all that Jesus has done in my life. Our life has been pretty crazy over here at the Hathaway household. We have about 10 projects going on at any given time, but we are slowly making our Fixer Upper house a home. Today I wanted to share this month’s calendar printable with you all. I love the artwork on this one.
I have always loved looking at night time starry sky photography. Especially the ones with roads. Something about that yellow road line fading off into the distance is so nostalgic to me. So I just had to use this painting for this month’s freebie. It’s a tad bit on the moody side, but I really love it so much! When I was just starting to paint back in highschool, I avoided watercolors, because when I heard the words “watercolor” I thought “fruit” & “neon flowers.” It took me a while to get out of that ascetic stereo type and after some experimenting I realized that you can make the most beautiful dark landscapes with watercolors. It has become my favorite medium becuase of it’s ability to blend and layer. A darker piece like this one has many layers of color to give it that moody edge.
