My Simple Neutral, Vintage Christmas Tree

I can’t believe Christmas has crept up on me so fast! Ah! When I was little it couldn’t come fast enough… now that I’m “old” (errr, have kids, that is) November-December has just flown by!

I Interrupt This Post For A Brief Announcement:

All tutorials mentioned in this post are sourced at the bottom of the page. Thank you. 😛

Today I just wanted to simply show you a little bit of my Christmas decor.

I really kept it simple, mainly because I like the clean, natural look. Honestly, red is just too much for me right now. So I stuck to the natural rustic tones, gold, and green for the most part.

My FAVORITE part of the decor is this simple Christmas Tree Garland paired with my copper LED wire lights (which I have ALL over our house! not joke!!!)

We really didn’t buy any ornaments, other than some die cut snowflake tags from target’s dollar section, and some gold bells, which I strung up alongside my vintage DIY book paper ornaments form years ago. Oh, and I spy a strand of copper LED lights! I would have used them as a stand alone, but they really weren’t bright enough for other people in our family’s taste.

I made a simple snowflake garland to go on the DIY window sitting on my desk. And more LED’s. I sense a new obsession! Lol!

Seriously, they are EVERYWHERE!

Forgive my lack of tree skirt… I was planning on using a basket or crate… but that still hasn’t happened… yet. Lol! And notice the scare lower branches? That’s what you get when you have a 9 month old! You have to pick and choose your wars ladies & gentlemen.

June and I made a star out of snowflakes and wooden clothes pins. We didn’t like any of the store bought ones (they look so cheap!) but I KNEW this one was perfect as soon as we started making it.

I used my gift tag printables on the Elsa themed wrapping paper gifts (not pictured!) too of course.

Seriously, I LOVE these gift tags.

I wish the rest of my house looked as awesome as my hutch space does now… in other words: perfect.

I’m working on it though!

Umm, I am in LOVE with these LED lights + glass! They look SO classy!

One more photo of the hutch & island (before June put all her art supplies on the lower shelf)… I am enjoying this fake, staged perfectness! Ahem.

My favorite three ornaments. We had a bunch of each of these guys.

So that’s it for now.

Below are a few of my favorite ways to get ready for Christmas (for all of you last minute people like who like to keep it simple!)
